Getting bullied can feel hopeless. Luckily, we're here to help.

Talkr is for anyone that is being bullied and has nowhere to turn. The service is 100% free and absolutely confidential. If you are being bullied, online or off, we're listening. You can contact us anytime, day or night, using one of the following methods:

  • "Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all."
    Dale Carnegie
  • "I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship."

  • "The greatest masterpieces were once only pigments on a palette."
    Henry Hoskins

Have some questions about Talkr? We have answers.

Who am I talking to anyway?

Every text, email, or tweet is answered by one of our awesome Talkr volunteers. Our volunteers are great listeners, and take your anonymity super seriously. They volunteer because they understand that having someone to listen can make all the difference.

And Talkr is free?

Seriously, it's free?

Yep. Text messaging fees and data isn't, however, so please keep that in mind.

Why are you doing this?

Talkr was started after hearing the particularly sad story of a young lady who was being cyber bullied, but felt she had no one to talk to. It occurred to us that there are probably many other people in a similar scenario, and that having a listening ear can make all the difference. We decided to be this listening ear, and to do so using the methods of communication that adolescents are most familiar with.

I want to talk to someone, but I don't know how to begin.

We know that the first time you reach out to someone can be scary, so just keep it simple. Something like, "Hi, my name is John, and there are some kids on Facebook that won't stop teasing me" is all it takes to get the ball rolling.

I have questions about the service, how should I contact you?

Feel free to ask away using our text message number, email address, or Twitter DM. We are set up to take questions through each of those channels.
